One of the most dazzling aspects of a piano is that it is eternal. From the courts of the Habsburgs to today’s glamorous concert halls piano builders have worked painstakingly to perfect its most precious resource, its sound and beauty. This has created some exceptional and irreplaceable pianos. Though age and wear might have diminished the potential of some of them, the pianos eternal aspect survives in the structure and objectives the original builder provided it with.

Raffi Keshishian Piano Restoration focuses on the rehabilitation of these older pianos. We believe that restoration of pianos is important because of some of their superior qualities in comparison to newer pianos, and their historic valor.  By focusing on the objectives and conceptions of the original builder, we are able to bring it closer to its original state, rather than just replacing old parts with new ones, which were most likely build for new pianos. The basic masterpiece is there. We believe that it is our work to bring it back to its glamour.
